Overview
Our research group (in the Electrical Engineering Department at Penn State University) is developing new hierarchical nanomanufacturing techniques to create electronic and optical microsystems with unparalleled function and performance. Central to this approach is the heterogeneous integration of diverse materials and devices with nanoscale control over their geometry and position on a substrate. These innovations in nanoscale materials and device integration have the potential to revolutionize chip-scale electronics by adding entirely new functions to silicon integrated circuits e.g., More than Moore, as well as to create artificially-engineered nanostructures with optical properties that are not found in nature. |
